(MENAFN) An Iranian attack late Sunday on a service building at a power generation and water desalination facility in Kuwait resulted in the death of a worker and caused extensive damage, according to reports citing the country’s Electricity Ministry.

The ministry confirmed that the fatality was an Indian national and noted that the strike significantly impacted the plant’s infrastructure. Emergency and technical teams were immediately deployed under contingency plans to manage the aftermath and maintain normal operations.

Authorities are reportedly coordinating with security agencies and relevant organizations to secure the affected site and prevent further disruptions.

The incident comes amid ongoing regional escalations following the launch of a US-Israeli military campaign against Iran on Feb. 28. Reports indicate the conflict has resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel as well as US military installations in Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and broader disruptions to global markets and aviation.
