People’s Finance and News, March 30—From March 24 to 26, Luo Wen, Party Secretary and Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, conducted research in Liaoning on governance of food safety in online food services and on rectifying disorder and irregularities in the livestream e-commerce sector. Luo Wen stressed that efforts must firmly implement the arrangements of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, deepen the concentrated rectification of prominent misconduct and corruption problems in the market regulation field that occur close to the public, and strictly and solidly carry out all work related to governance of food safety in online food services, in order to effectively safeguard the people’s “safety on the tip of the tongue.” He added that the livestream e-commerce sector’s disorder and irregularities must be tackled with tough measures—false marketing, counterfeiting and shoddy goods, and other prominent problems must be subject to consistently high-pressure regulatory oversight, so that strong regulation can promote the standardized and healthy development of the livestream e-commerce industry.
