Birthday cake truffles being pulled from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory shelves
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is pulling its birthday cake truffles from shelves at some locations, a decision CEO Jeff Geygan described as a “quality decision” rather than a health-related recall. While Geygan cited proprietary reasons for not disclosing specific quality concerns, an employee claimed the truffles were green inside and potentially contaminated, a claim Geygan denied. The company plans to ship a new stock of birthday cake truffles within two weeks.
