HVACR Nigeria To Host Inaugural Edition In Lagos, Bringing A Focused Industry Event To West Africa's Largest Economy With AHRI And ASHRAE RAL Endorsement
(MENAFN- Mid-East Info)
Running from 7 – 9 April 2026 at Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, the exhibition will showcase solutions across air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air quality and building automation. HVACR Talks to deliver CPD-certified, expert-led technical sessions discussing the state of the HVACR market in Nigeria, including project standards, energy-efficient cooling, workforce development and smart controls, IoT and automation in HVACR systems.
Nigeria’s HVACR is projected to grow at an annual rate of 8.78% between 2025-29. Supporting this ambition, HVACR Nigeria, organized by dmg events and endorsed by AHRI and ASHRAE RAL will host its inaugural edition from 7 – 9 April 2026. The three-day exhibition at Landmark Centre, Lagos, will gather manufacturers, distributors, engineers, contractors, developers and facility professionals from across Nigeria’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration sectors.
Co-located with West Africa Infrastructure Expo, HVACR Nigeria is expected to attract more than 2,000 attendees, bringing together decision-makers and technical professionals from across the HVACR value chain. Together, the two events will host more than 35 exhibiting companies from over 10 countries, including the UAE, Nigeria, India and the USA, reflecting the growing interest in Nigeria’s HVACR market.
As the country’s urban centres expand, demand for reliable climate control across residential, commercial and industrial segments is accelerating. Power supply constraints have made efficient cooling and ventilation a commercial necessity. The country is also navigating a regulatory shift toward lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, a transition that demands coordinated technical response across the supply chain.
“The transition to next-generation refrigerants, improved energy efficiency and decarbonization present both challenges and opportunities for the HVACR industry in Nigeria. HVACR Nigeria will be an ideal gathering of the industry to present advanced technologies, exchange technical expertise and bring together stakeholders to help shape a more efficient and sustainable industry,” said Nabil Shahin, Managing Director, AHRI.
“Nigeria is one of Africa’s fastest-growing markets for HVACR, with urbanization, commercial construction, and the shift toward energy-efficient systems driving a strong demand for technical knowledge and industry standards. The endorsement of HVACR Nigeria by ASHRAE Region-at-Large reflects that the event and its content programme directly address the needs of industry practitioners, from refrigerant compliance to workforce development. We see this as a strategic step toward building a more capable and better-informed HVACR industry in the region,” said Bassel Anbari, Director and Regional Chair, ASHRAE Region-at-Large. ** Solutions showcased across core HVACR sectors showcased**
HVACR Nigeria brings together exhibitors across air flow, air quality and ventilation; air conditioning, refrigeration and heating; HVACR equipment and services; and building automation and controls. Buyers, specifiers and technical professionals can evaluate solutions across these product sectors with direct access to supplier expertise and product performance. Top exhibiting brands include Daitech, JMG, AHI Carrier, Artech2000, CIG E-Home and Rubber World, representing authorized distributors for Daikin, Trane, Carrier, Toshiba, Mandilas, York, GREE and Gulf-O-Flex respectively. Collectively, these brands reflect the depth of international supply chain engagement with the Nigerian market, spanning distribution, technical application and product supply across the core sectors. ** CPD-certified HVACR Talks anchor technical dialogue over two days**
Alongside the exhibition, HVACR Talks deliver more than 5 CPD-certified, expert-led sessions across two days, open to contractors, engineers, facility managers and procurement professionals engaged in specification, compliance and technical decision-making in Nigeria.
The agenda addresses the state of the HVACR market in Nigeria, applying HVACR standards in real projects, energy-efficient cooling for Nigeria’s power reality, refrigerants and low-GWP alternatives, workforce development and smart controls, IoT and automation in HVACR systems.
Sessions will be led by senior practitioners from across Nigeria’s HVACR sector. The speaker lineup includes Adedayo Adebimpe, Principal Project Director, BIM Africa, addressing BIM interoperability for accurate head and cooling load calculations; Engr Olatinwo Olatunde Lookman, CEO, CA Consultants Limited, covering high-performance HVAC system design and installation; Engr Adetokunbo Sangowawa, Director, KOA Consultants, on advancing indoor environmental quality in Nigerian buildings; and Engr Bayo Adeola, Chairman, CPMS Limited, on technical leadership and career advancement in HVACR.
Commenting on the inaugural edition, Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President, dmg events, said:“Nigeria is the largest economy in West Africa and the continent’s most populous country, with a substantial influence on regional trade and market direction. That scale is reflected in the demand we are seeing for HVACR solutions. Urbanization is accelerating, commercial construction is expanding and the pressure to deliver energy-efficient systems is no longer a long-term consideration but an immediate operational requirement. HVACR Nigeria is built around that reality, offering a focused environment where the international supply chain meets local industry around active projects and real procurement needs.”
HVACR Nigeria is co-located with West Africa Infrastructure Expo.
