Local time on the 29th, the United States and Israel continued to attack Iran, and the Israel Defense Forces launched airstrikes on multiple targets including Tehran, Iran’s capital. In an announcement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that, during the 86th wave of the “True Promise – 4” operation, Iran struck multiple targets including facilities of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet. Experts believe that, as the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict continues, this war is very likely to evolve into a “war of attrition.” At present, the rate of U.S. military spending in this conflict is at the highest level in history; in the long run, the war’s cost ceiling could be extremely high. If afterward the United States launches a ground war against Iran, it could face sky-high military expenses, and the war’s costs would far exceed those of the three U.S.-involved wars: the Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, and the Vietnam War.
