Valero Energy Corp has temporarily shut down its 380,000-barrel-per-day Port Arthur, Texas refinery following an explosion and fire in a diesel hydrotreater unit. No injuries were reported from the incident, which occurred on Monday night. The cause of the explosion is unknown, but authorities do not believe it was a deliberate act.
