Wine Price Insider March 27 Price Release: Wuliangye Ordinary Five Eight Edition remains unchanged month-over-month
Sina Finance’s “Liquor Price Insider” goes live with major coverage; real market prices for well-known baijiu brands are now in hand
Data collected by Sina Finance’s “Liquor Price Insider” over the past 24 hours shows that, for March 27, the terminal retail average prices of the main baijiu categories in China’s baijiu market rose slightly overall. If each of the main categories is sold as a single bottle in an overall bundled package, the total price today is 9,914 yuan, up a modest 10 yuan from yesterday. The market’s performance overall is steady; prices of Moutai-related high-end items moved up, lifting the market’s center of gravity slightly.
Today, among 11 major baijiu items in the market, six rose, three fell, and two were flat. On the upside, Guojiao 1573 led the gains, up 5 yuan per bottle month over month, with the price focus shifting upward and delivering a three-day winning streak; Gujing Gong Gu 20 rose 4 yuan per bottle; Premium Moutai rose 3 yuan per bottle, achieving a five-day winning streak and reaching a new one-month high; Feitian Moutai, Qinghua Lang, and Crystal Jianan Chun all inched up 1 yuan per bottle. On the downside, Wuliangye 1618 led the declines, falling 3 yuan per bottle to a near-30-day low; Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Xijiu Junpin both were trimmed by 1 yuan per bottle. Wuliangye Puwu Baijiu, Badai, and Qinghua Fen 20 kept their prices unchanged month over month.
“Liquor Price Insider” daily data comes from about 200 collection points across major regions of the country with reasonable coverage, including but not limited to wine enterprises’ designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, retail outlets, and more. The original sampling data are the true transaction terminal retail prices handled at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide all parties with an objective, scientific, fully traceable dataset about the market prices of well-known baijiu. As the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle on New Year’s Day, and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle went on sale on January 9, this new channel’s magnetic pull on the market’s terminal retail average prices for the two products has gradually become evident. The daily liquor prices published by “Liquor Price Insider” follow a calculation rule weighted by actual transaction volumes; we have incorporated the quantifiable prices into the calculation of the terminal retail prices for both types of liquor.

Regarding important news in the baijiu industry, well-known auction house Sotheby’s recently released its 2025 annual wine and spirits market report, showing that the global secondary market for alcoholic beverages is showing a recovery trend, and that international auction market attention on Chinese baijiu is increasing. The report shows that total auction sales of alcohol in 2025 increased 12% year over year to 127.5 million USD; spirits contributed about 20% of total transaction value, and for the sixth consecutive year it ranked first on the成交价格榜首 by transaction price. Within this, Guizhou Moutai accounted for 16% of the transaction value, ranking second globally on the spirits auction list, and becoming the only Chinese baijiu brand in the top-tier lineup on that list. Sotheby’s held 69 auctions in total during the year, with 26,509 lots sold, attracting buyers from 63 countries and regions. About one-third of the buyers were first-time participants, and the buyer profile is trending younger. In addition, Sotheby’s also launched a special auction for Chinese aged baijiu, covering multiple batches of Moutai products, including the 1981-produced “Five Star” Guizhou Moutai, the 1983-produced “Five Star” Guizhou Moutai, the “Big Feitian T” produced from 1983 to 1985, and the “Iron Cap” Moutai from 1986 to 1996, all of which were on display.
