U.S. President Trump said Iran agreed to most of the ceasefire demands, and investors are hoping the war will soon be over, with the Dow up nearly 300 points in the early session.

As of 9:41 p.m. Hong Kong time, the Dow was at 45,446 points, up 280 points, or 0.62%; the S&P 500 was at 6,393 points, up 24 points, or 0.39%; and the Nasdaq was at 21,001 points, up 53 points, or 0.25%.

According to a report by Bloomberg, Trump said that of the 15 U.S. demands to end the war, Iran agreed to most of them. He told reporters, “They agreed to most of what we asked for. How could they not do that? We’ll still make some other demands,” but he refused to disclose what specific concessions the Iranian side has made.
