Red Star Capital Bureau, March 27 report: Xpeng Inc. (09868.HK / XPEV.US) today announced that, effective April 1, 2026, the company’s Chinese name will officially change from “Xpeng Motors Co., Ltd.” to “Xpeng Group,” while its English name, XPeng Inc., will remain unchanged.

Effective from 9:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026, the company’s Class A ordinary shares traded on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited will have their Chinese stock short name changed from “Xpeng Motors-W” to “Xpeng Group-W.” The company’s English stock short name “XPENG-W” and its stock code “9868” will remain unchanged.

Xpeng Inc. stated that this renaming will not affect any rights of the company’s shareholders. Shareholders do not need to return their existing shares, nor is there any stock exchange arrangement.
