People’s Finance News, March 30—According to a reporter from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Micro-Satellite Innovation Institute, at 19:00 on March 30, 2026, Beijing time, the Long March 2Y Yao-1 launch vehicle lifted off from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone, successfully delivering the Lightship initial sample test spacecraft into its planned orbit. The flight test mission was a complete success. The Lightship initial sample test spacecraft was developed and led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Micro-Satellite Innovation Institute. The entire spacecraft weighs only 4.2 tons, adopts a single-cabin integrated configuration, and can be flexibly adapted to multiple types of rockets, with excellent launch compatibility. This flight carried a total of 27 projects, including technical reserves, on-orbit validation, scientific exploration, and science education works. The total payload mass was 1.02 tons, and a series of on-orbit technical experiments will be conducted at orbital altitudes ranging from 200 kilometers to 600 kilometers. (CCTV News)
