Alcohol Price Insider March 24 Price Release: Liquor Retail Prices Slightly Decline
Sina Finance’s “Spirits Price Brief” collected data from the past 24 hours shows that across March 24, terminal retail average prices for major single products in China’s baijiu market fell slightly overall. If the main single products are each packaged and sold in one bottle, the total price today is 9,913 yuan, down 18 yuan from yesterday. Trading activity remains steady, and terminal quotes show a pattern of differentiated performance.
Today, major baijiu single products in the market saw a mix of gains and losses: out of 11 single products, four rose, five fell, and two were flat. In terms of increases, Guizhou Moutai Feitian liquor led the gains, rising by 5 yuan per bottle month over month. Channel quotes moved upward and transaction volumes increased slightly; Premium Moutai rose by 3 yuan per bottle, with the price focus shifting to a near one-month high; Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Gujing Gong Gu 20 both rose slightly by 1 yuan per bottle. On the downside, Guojiao 1573 led the declines, falling by 9 yuan per bottle; Qinghua Lang fell by 8 yuan per bottle; Qinghua Fen 20 and Xijiu Junpin both fell by 4 yuan per bottle; Wuliangye 1618 fell by 3 yuan per bottle. Wuliangye Puwu and Crystal Sword of Nanchun prices remained unchanged month over month.
“Spirits Price Brief” daily data comes from about 200 collection points with reasonable distribution across major regions nationwide, including but not limited to liquor companies’ designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The original sampling data are the real transaction terminal retail prices handled at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide all sectors with an objective, scientific, and fully traceable set of data on the market prices of well-known baijiu. As of the start of New Year’s Day, the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9; the magnetic pull effect of this new channel on the two products’ market terminal retail average prices has gradually become apparent. The baijiu prices published daily in “Spirits Price Brief” follow calculation rules weighted by actual transaction volumes, and we have introduced price points that can be quantified into the calculation of the two products’ terminal retail prices.

Regarding important news in the baijiu industry: during the hotel exhibition period of the 2026 Chengdu spring sugar and liquor trade fair (Jiujiu Fair), the Huaxia Times made consecutive on-site visits from March 21 to 22. Major liquor enterprises such as Guizhou Moutai, Wuliangye, and Yanghe Co., Ltd. have collectively pulled back from traditional hotel exhibition segments this year, no longer continuing the prior booth display and招商模式 model, drawing industry attention. Industry insiders believe that channel systems of leading companies have become more mature; combined with considerations of costs and efficiency, the attractiveness of hotel exhibitions has declined. This move indicates that baijiu growth models that rely on channel expansion and inventory pressure are gradually weakening. At the same time, liquor companies are accelerating their shift toward the consumer end, strengthening brand operations and layout of consumption scenarios, and driving the industry’s transition from channel-driven to demand-driven. China’s baijiu industry has entered a new stage of structural adjustment and reshaped development logic. This year’s national sugar and liquor trade fair is the 114th edition. The event has a long history, starting in 1955, and is held twice each year in spring and autumn, with the spring session fixed in Chengdu.
