AFU Show How They Repelled Russian Mechanized Assault Near Mala Tokmachka

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the Southern Defense Forces reported this on Telegram.

“Taking advantage of the weather conditions, particularly the morning fog, the invaders launched an assault. Using a ‘Hedgehog’ tank, an IFV, and two ‘Ulan’ vehicles, the Russians hoped to sneak into the village of Mala Tokmachka,” the statement reads.

As the military noted, the Russian assault troops did not even come close to the settlement, which, according to Russian propaganda channels, has supposedly been under their control since the summer of 2025.

The enemy column was stopped and destroyed by combined fire from the 118th Mechanized Brigade and adjacent units of the 108th Kodatska Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while still on the move.

As a result, in addition to the armored vehicles, 10 assault troops were killed, and another ten were wounded.

As reported by Ukrinform, Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, stated that Russian troops are regrouping and moving assault groups to forward positions in the Orikhiv direction; however, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are inflicting fire damage and preventing the enemy from approaching the city.
