OpenAI will discontinue the Sora video generation service

On March 25, OpenAI plans to stop its video generation service, six months after it made a high-profile launch of the standalone Sora application, to streamline its artificial intelligence product lineup. The ChatGPT developer rolled out the Sora app at the end of September, promising to let users generate and share realistic AI videos more conveniently within a quasi social network. The free app once quickly topped Apple’s App Store rankings, but its position has since fallen. (Sina Finance)
