According to a notice released by “Xiangyuan Economic Development Zone,” recently, the 42.5MW lithium-ion battery and supercapacitor hybrid energy storage project located in Xiangyuan Economic Development Zone in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province is fully pushing to meet the goal of grid connection and commissioning at the target node.
As introduced, the project is jointly constructed by Shanxi Zhongsheng Smart Electric Power Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Zhixian New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 206 million yuan. The plan is to build a hybrid energy storage station that integrates lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. Of this, the installed capacity of the lithium-ion battery is 32.5MW/130MWh, and the installed capacity of the supercapacitor is 10MW/0.083MWh. In addition, 26 energy storage battery containers and 7 PCS step-up inverter integrated containers have all arrived on site and have been installed into position. The construction team is concentrating its efforts to speed up the installation of the supercapacitor integrated warehouse and secondary equipment.
At present, the project’s civil works have been completed, and the energy storage equipment and lightning rod equipment have also been installed. The team is now allocating and coordinating the supercapacitor equipment and the step-up substation equipment, which will arrive one after another, and is accelerating construction work. The project is expected to be completed by the end of March and move into the commissioning stage.
