On March 25, the Tianjin 2026 Multinational Enterprises Roundtable opened. Nearly 300 guests from over 30 countries and regions gathered in Tianjin to engage in dialogue on topics such as global value chains, innovation-driven development, artificial intelligence (AI), green computing power, the development of ports and cities, and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.

As a leader in modern Chinese medicine, Tianyao Darentang made a significant appearance at the event, showcasing the vitality of a century-old brand through parallel meetings and exhibitions of traditional Chinese medicine culture.

Intellectual Exchange: Focusing on Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Health Industry

At the “Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Industry” parallel meeting, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Grand Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Zhang Boli, Vice President of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Zhang Junhua, and Wang Lei, Chairman of Tianyao Darentang Group, along with other academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs, gathered to discuss topics such as “How can traditional Chinese medicine better serve the needs of the times?”, “How can the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine integrate technological innovation and industrial innovation?”, and “How can China’s traditional Chinese medicine better serve the people of the world?”.

Academician Zhang Boli elaborated on the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine within the global health system, the core directions for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, and significant social needs. He stated that the current core of traditional Chinese medicine development lies in “mastering internal skills” and solidifying the foundation for development, while actively leveraging modern technologies like AI to achieve high-quality growth.

Academician Zhang emphasized that traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of the Chinese nation, demonstrating unique value in treating chronic diseases and age-related conditions caused by lifestyle choices.

Chairman Wang Lei stated in his speech that traditional Chinese medicine belongs to China and the world. The key to better serving global citizens lies in three aspects:

First, maintaining integrity and innovating, clearly explaining product efficacy mechanisms using modern theories, so that the world can understand and trust it. Darentang has been committed to going overseas since 1955, obtaining pharmaceutical export status through certification by the Japanese Ministry of Health in the 1980s, and subsequently passing international authoritative certifications such as EU CE and Australia TGA, laying a solid foundation for Darentang’s international expansion.

Second, open cooperation. As of now, Darentang has over 140 product specifications sold in more than 20 countries and regions, with 31 varieties successfully registered in Singapore by 2025, including core products like Xuyue Jiexin Pill and Qinggong Shoutao Pill entering the core stores of Guardian Pharmacy in Singapore, with overseas sales increasing by 41% year-on-year.

Third, cultural integration. Darentang actively promotes the exchange and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture through concrete actions, embedding traditional Chinese medicine into the global health system, and winning the trust of people worldwide through culture and reputation. This year, Darentang will attend the World Traditional Chinese Medicine Conference in Singapore to showcase the charm of traditional Chinese medicine and the brand image of Darentang globally.
