Wang Chunfa, Chairman of the China Association of Science Writers, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Wang pointed out that science fiction is a window to the future and a fertile ground for the integration of cultural confidence and technological self-improvement. The science fiction industry is not only an innovative experimental field for future industries but also a cultural carrier for the transformation of technological cognition methods. Science fiction industrial parks are accelerating the transition from early “single-point exploration” to a new stage of “systematic development.” The China Association of Science Writers has always adhered to an open and cooperative academic concept, committed to nurturing the fertile ground for the science fiction industry. The release of the “Evaluation Index System for the Development of China’s Science Fiction Industrial Parks” is an important measure to respond to industry needs and solve development challenges, providing a “scale” for the quality of science fiction park development, as well as “portraits” for the parks, “navigation” for decision-making, and “guidance” for resources.

Wang Chunfa made four hopes for the development of science fiction industrial parks: First, reshape spatial value, upgrading from “provider of physical space” to “builder of industrial ecology”; second, deepen the integration of technology and culture, transforming from “replicator of traditional models” to “testing ground for cutting-edge technology”; third, expand boundary efficiency, evolving from “isolated operation islands” to “cross-domain empowering converters”; fourth, cultivate a global vision, elevating from “base for local development” to “reception hall facing the world.” Wang expressed the hope that this forum would serve as an opportunity to work hand in hand, innovate, lead standardized development with a standardized evaluation system, and promote industrial leap with high-quality park construction, jointly writing a new chapter for China’s science fiction in aiding the cultural and technological power of the country.

At the forum, Professor Shi Yupeng from Central University of Finance and Economics and Researcher Liu Feng from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Strategic Consulting Research Institute delivered keynote reports. Relevant personnel from the Shijingshan District Science Committee, Baoguangfen Culture, Three-Body Universe, Guoxin Lianchuang, and Tongguan Yingxin shared practical experiences in park construction and IP incubation, promoting the development needs of the parks. During the roundtable dialogue, attendees engaged in in-depth exchanges on the diversified development paths and model explorations of science fiction industrial parks.
