On March 28, People’s Finance reported that international oil prices surged significantly on the 27th. As of the close of that day, the price of light crude oil futures for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $5.16, closing at $99.64 per barrel, an increase of 5.46%; the price of Brent crude oil futures for May delivery rose by $4.56, closing at $112.57 per barrel, an increase of 4.22%.
