The U.S. dollar index rose on the 25th. The dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.18% for the day, closing at 99.614 in the forex market. At the end of trading in New York, 1 euro was exchanged for 1.1578 USD, up from 1.1569 USD the previous trading day; 1 British pound was exchanged for 1.3382 USD, up from 1.3366 USD the previous day. 1 USD was exchanged for 159.28 Japanese yen, up from 159.14 yen; 1 USD was exchanged for 0.7910 Swiss francs, down from 0.7918 Swiss francs; 1 USD was exchanged for 1.3808 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3783 CAD; 1 USD was exchanged for 9.3320 Swedish krona, down from 9.3669 SEK.
