[Company Information]

Dine Brands Global, Inc. was incorporated in 1976 under Delaware law, originally named IHOP Corporation. On February 20, 2018, it was renamed Dine Brands Global, Inc. The company and its subsidiaries own and franchise Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar, a full-service restaurant concept in the casual dining segment in the U.S., and own and franchise International House of Pancakes (IHOP), a mid-tier full-service restaurant concept in the family dining segment. As of December 31, 2022, the company’s 3,596 restaurants were almost entirely franchised. The company believes that compared to a business model with a large number of company-operated restaurants, this highly franchised model requires less capital investment and general administrative expenses, generates higher gross margins, and reduces volatility in adjusted free cash flow performance.
