Ministry of Foreign Affairs: China Welcomes India's New Ambassador to China Vikram Misri
On March 20th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian hosted a routine press conference.
A reporter from India Today asked whether China has any comments on India appointing a person familiar with Chinese affairs as the new ambassador to China.

“Diplomats are an important bridge for developing friendly and cooperative relations between countries. I noticed that this ambassador has given himself a Chinese name, Wei Jiameng. China welcomes India’s new ambassador to China, Wei Jiameng, and will provide convenience for his duties in China. We look forward to him promoting the continuous improvement and development of China-India relations after taking office,” Lin Jian said.
