Amazon Web Services Confirms Drone Strikes Caused Structural Damage In UAE And Bahrain, Warns Operating Environment 'Remains Unpredictable'
Amazon Web Services (AWS) reported that drone strikes related to the ongoing Middle East conflict caused significant structural damage to its facilities in the UAE and Bahrain. Two out of three Availability Zones in the UAE and one facility in Bahrain were affected, leading to power disruptions, fires, and water damage, impacting various AWS services. AWS is undergoing a prolonged recovery, while also urging customers to implement disaster recovery plans and consider migrating workloads to other regions due to the unpredictable operating environment.
