Rongje Holdings: Wholly-owned Subsidiary Plans to Invest 1.1 Billion Yuan to Build Annual Production Capacity of 50,000 Tons of Lithium Battery Negative Electrode Material Project
On March 23, Rongjie Co., Ltd. (002192.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lanzhou Rongjie Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Lanzhou Rongjie Materials”), plans to build an annual 50,000-ton high-performance lithium-ion battery anode material project in Lanzhou New Area, with a total fixed asset investment of approximately 1.1 billion yuan.
The announcement states that Lanzhou Rongjie Materials signed a “State-owned Construction Land Use Rights Transfer Contract” with the Lanzhou New Area Natural Resources and Planning Bureau in May 2025, acquiring industrial land covering a total area of 208,500 square meters, with a transfer price of 49.77 million yuan and a land use term of 50 years.
In recent years, driven by the rapid development of new energy vehicles and energy storage sectors, the anode material industry—one of the key materials for lithium-ion batteries—has also been growing rapidly, accelerating expansion. According to data from Gao Gong Industry Research Institute, by 2025, the shipment volume of lithium battery anode materials will reach 2.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 39%, with artificial graphite materials accounting for 2.67 million tons.
Rongjie Co. stated that, based on the rapid growth of the lithium-ion battery industry, there remains a gap in high-capacity, high-power, high-safety, and high-stability anode materials. The investment in the lithium-ion battery anode material project aims to leverage the company’s resource and industrial foundation, promote the deepening development of the lithium industry chain, improve the company’s upstream and downstream lithium battery material industry chain planning, and continuously build a chain-based new energy industry pattern.
