【Caixin】 To seize the opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, Arm has directly launched products to participate in market competition.

On March 24th, local time in the United States, UK chip computing platform company Arm (NASDAQ: ARM) held a press conference in San Francisco, announcing the launch of the AGI CPU (General Artificial Intelligence Central Processing Unit). This chip is independently designed by Arm and targets AI data center needs.

Specifically, the chip uses TSMC’s 3-nanometer process, with each CPU integrating up to 136 Arm Neoverse V3 cores. For reference, Nvidia’s CPU chip Vera currently uses 88 custom cores based on the Arm architecture. Data provided by Arm shows that the AGI CPU leads the industry in performance across single-core, system-on-chip (SoC), blade servers, and rack-level products.
