$GT Gate News - On March 25th, according to CCTV News, U.S. President Trump made a statement at the White House regarding the U.S.-Iran conflict, claiming that the U.S. has "achieved victory" in its operations against Iran, and that Iran has been "completely defeated." Trump stated that the current situation is not a "evenly matched conflict," but rather that Iran has been "thoroughly weakened militarily." He pointed out that Iran "has no navy, no air force, and lacks effective defensive capabilities," with the U.S. maintaining absolute superiority in relevant operations, and criticized certain media outlets for describing the situation as a "stalemate," calling such descriptions "inconsistent with the facts." Trump also stated that the U.S. has the capability to further strike Iran's critical infrastructure, but emphasized his hope to end the conflict through negotiations to avoid further losses, saying "this conflict can end," though he did not make a definitive judgment on the final agreement outcome. On the nuclear issue, Trump reiterated that Iran "will not possess nuclear weapons" and stated that previous U.S. military operations have "destroyed its nuclear capability," claiming that had the U.S. not withdrawn from the JCPOA, Iran could have "already obtained nuclear weapons." He also mentioned that Iran had launched missiles at the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and other locations in the early stages of the conflict, actions that "exceeded external expectations." Trump concluded by expressing his hope to end the current "military operations" through diplomatic means, with the objective of "saving millions of lives."
