Storms cut power to 396,000 customers in US Midwest, Mid-Atlantic; Ohio hardest hit

Severe storms across the U.S. Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions have left over 396,000 homes and businesses without power. Ohio is the hardest-hit state, with approximately 123,000 outages, representing 2.3% of its customers. American Electric Power (AEP) is the most affected utility in Ohio, with about 40,000 of its customers experiencing outages.
