Audio Disclosure: Mujtaba Escaped Harm by Being Out Early When Ali Khamenei Was Attacked

According to a March 16 report on The Daily Telegraph’s website, Iran’s new Supreme Leader narrowly escaped an airstrike by the United States and Israel because he was out for a walk in his garden just minutes before missiles hit his residence.

Leaked audio obtained by The Daily Telegraph reveals that Mujetaba Khamenei was also a target in the attack that killed his father and other members of the Islamic Republic leadership. However, just before an Israeli “Blue Sparrow” missile struck his home at 9:32 a.m. on February 28, he happened to be out for a “matter” outside.

Mazaher Hosseini, an official from Ali Khamenei’s office, delivered a speech to senior clerics and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders, providing the first detailed account of the situation when the Supreme Leader’s residence was attacked.

Mujetaba Khamenei lives with his father in a residence in Tehran, which also includes a religious venue where Ali Khamenei often delivers speeches. Other children of Ali Khamenei also reside there.

On February 28, Ali Khamenei and senior security officials were in a meeting when the missile struck the residence. Major General Mohammad Pakpour of the IRGC and Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh were among those killed in the attack.
