Apple AirPods Max 2 Released: Featuring the H2 chip, noise cancellation improved by 1.5 times, priced at 3999 yuan
Apple Inc. announced today the launch of the new generation of over-ear noise-canceling headphones, AirPods Max 2. The product is priced at 3,999 yuan, with pre-sales starting on March 25 and official release in early April. As a core upgrade, the new headphones are fully equipped with the H2 chip, expanding Apple’s audio product line in intelligent computing audio fields such as adaptive audio, conversation awareness, and personalized volume.
In terms of core acoustic and noise-canceling performance, thanks to the computing power of the H2 chip and new algorithms, the active noise cancellation of AirPods Max 2 has improved by 1.5 times compared to the previous generation. Apple has equipped the device with a new high-dynamic-range amplifier to optimize instrument positioning and low-frequency response in spatial audio. Additionally, the headphones now feature a USB-C port, supporting 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio transmission in wired mode, further meeting the needs of music creators and professional workflows. The wireless audio latency has also been reduced.
In terms of interaction experience and design, AirPods Max 2 introduces voice prominence features for calls and studio-grade audio recording options. It also incorporates Siri head gesture interactions (nodding to agree, shaking to refuse) previously used in other AirPods models. The device expands camera remote control capabilities, allowing users to control their mobile device’s shooting with a digital crown. The new product is available in five colors: Midnight, Starlight, Orange, Purple, and Blue. Its acoustic components and packaging have significantly increased the use of recycled materials by 100%, supporting Apple’s 2030 carbon neutrality plan.
