The Xi'an-Kangxian high-speed railway construction has completed the breakthrough of all tunnels and bridges along the entire line, with track laying work also finished. Static acceptance testing is about to commence. The project will reduce the railway travel time between Xi'an and Ankang to less than 1 hour, with completion and operation expected this year.

Workers are performing construction outside the Qinling Jiutian Mountain Tunnel on the Xikang High-Speed Railway (Photo taken on March 20, drone photo).

According to the Shaanxi Company of the Xi’an-Chengdu Passenger Dedicated Line Construction Management, as of now, all tunnels, bridges, and other structures along the Xikang High-Speed Railway have been fully completed, and track laying is also finished. Static acceptance is about to begin. Six new station buildings along the line have been successively opened, and remaining projects are accelerating. After opening this year, the railway from Xi’an to Ankang will reduce travel time from about 3 hours to less than 1 hour.
