JD Travel Flight and Hotel Promise: No bundling, no fine print tricks, no hidden charges
Sina Tech News, March 17 — JD Travel has launched three major安心保障 measures for consumers, focusing on three core principles: no bundling, no fine print tricks, no hidden charges. This means that from flight tickets to hotels, from search to payment, the page price consumers see is the final amount they pay; refund and change policies, fee details are clearly displayed, so there’s no need to scroll to the bottom to find “small print.”
According to reports, in recent years, online travel platforms have exhibited a “price illusion” phenomenon. The homepage attracts clicks with “lowest prices,” but during checkout, additional costs such as default-added insurance, expedited packages, and protection bundles quietly increase the total by dozens or even hundreds of yuan.
“We don’t create price illusions; we offer genuine prices,” said a JD Travel spokesperson. Booking flights and hotels on JD is fundamentally about returning to simple, transparent, truly low prices.
In the hotel booking process, JD Travel has also “removed” those easily overlooked hidden charges. First, transparent pricing: the total room rate is displayed directly on the booking page, with no surprises popping up at checkout. Second, transparent rules: key information such as free cancellation deadlines and deduction rates are prominently marked on the booking page, eliminating the need to flip through small print. Lastly, transparent rights: benefits like late check-out offered by hotels are honestly labeled with their sources, refusing to “sell free benefits at a premium.”
“The start of travel should be departure, not avoiding traps,” said a JD Travel representative. JD Travel aims to ensure that after booking tickets and choosing hotels, users don’t have to worry about missing small print.
