Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Military Tanks

Hezbollah in Lebanon stated on the 3rd that in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing attacks on Lebanese towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hezbollah targeted an Israeli military base in Metula, a northern border city. In a statement, the organization said its armed personnel fired a guided missile at a “Mekava” main battle tank on the night of the 3rd, hitting the target directly. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the 2nd saying they are striking Hezbollah targets across Lebanon. Hezbollah also issued a statement on the same day, saying that in response to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei by the US and Israel, and to retaliate against Israel’s “ongoing aggression” toward Lebanon, Hezbollah launched rockets and drones to attack an Israeli missile defense base south of Haifa.
