Odaily Planet Daily reports that Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey typed “just setting up my twttr” on a laptop on March 21, 2006, marking the beginning of the 140-character era. The first tweet, extremely simple, has now been 20 years old. It has been included in the Wikipedia timeline, archived in the Computer History Museum, and even recognized by Guinness World Records.

In March 2021, Jack Dorsey sold the NFT of the first tweet for $2,915,835.47. The buyer was Sina Estavi, CEO of the oracle system Bridge Oracle, but the NFT’s value later experienced a significant decline. (cnBeta)
