People's Finance News, March 20 — On March 20, the Xinxiang Municipal People's Procuratorate filed public prosecution with the Xinxiang Intermediate People's Court against Shi Yongxin (original name Liu Yingcheng), former abbot of Shaolin Temple on Songshan Mountain, on suspicion of embezzlement of public funds, misappropriation of funds, bribery of non-state personnel, and offering bribes. During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorate duly informed the defendant Shi Yongxin (original name Liu Yingcheng) of his litigation rights and interrogated the defendant, and heard the opinions of the defense counsel.
