Nine Years of "Mail Love" Gathering Warm Currents: Postal Savings Bank Beijing Branch's Financial "Living Water" Nourishes the "New City"
During the Spring Equinox, by the canal, waves of love surge. On March 20th at noon, at the entrance of Beijing Postal Savings Bank’s sub-center in the capital city, employees dressed uniformly from the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank gradually signed in and gathered, warmly inaugurating a ceremony about love and hope.

They celebrated the ninth anniversary of the Postal Love Public Welfare Fund with a lively “Postal Love Public Welfare” walk. “This year marks the first year our Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank has moved to the Beijing sub-center to hold the ‘Postal Love Public Welfare’ event,” said Li Bing from the Beijing Tongzhou District Branch, standing among the team, her tone filled with excitement. She extended an invitation to the public: “We hope everyone can contribute to serving and building the Beijing sub-center together.”
Behind this invitation is the unwavering commitment of “Postal Savings Bank people” over nine years. It is reported that this bank, with the most branches nationwide, conducts nationwide donations for student aid during the “Postal Love Public Welfare” period every year. Xiao Liyuan from the bank’s Network Financial Department revealed that the “Postal Love Public Welfare” initiative has helped over ten thousand students so far.
Nine years is enough for a seed to grow into a towering tree. Xiao Liyuan said she participates in the “Postal Love Public Welfare” initiative to do her small part in helping mountain children realize their educational dreams and step out of the mountains. “One person’s strength is limited, but the warmth of a group can light the way forward.” She called on more people to join, turning small acts of love into great love, and to keep this kindness flowing.

From “participant” to “co-builder,” a strategic deep-rooted financial initiative
“We are not moving; we are taking root.” This simple statement by bank employees captures the profound meaning behind the strategic relocation of the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank. In November 2024, it became the first state-owned bank to establish a branch in the Canal Business District of the capital, marking its transition from a “financial participant” to a “co-builder” of the capital’s sub-center.
This “taking root” was already hinted at in this year’s “Postal Love Public Welfare” event. The activity was not only a gathering of love but also a warm bond connecting the bank with the region, employees with citizens.
The Canal Business District, as the core engine of the Beijing sub-center’s “Two Zones” development, carries multiple missions including international commerce, high-end finance, and green innovation. The entry of Postal Savings Bank Beijing Branch not only filled the regional core financial ecosystem’s “first launch” gap but also proactively broke down barriers between banks and regional development, building an integrated “policy-industry-service” system.
On a horizontal level, the bank is attracting high-quality resources such as the G20 Youth Entrepreneurs Alliance and the SoftBank AI Research Institute into the Beijing Postal Savings Bank Tower, creating a deep integration of financial capital, technological innovation, and international elements at the intersection of the Five Rivers.
More profoundly, this role transformation allows financial power to become an organic part of regional urban governance. As the only bank involved in the legislation of the “Beijing Sub-center Regulations,” Postal Savings Bank Beijing Branch contributes “Postal Wisdom” from a professional perspective to policy implementation.
By the end of 2025, the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank has served over 80 projects related to coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, with a loan balance exceeding 61 billion yuan. In 2025 alone, new loans issued will surpass 25.5 billion yuan, planting assets into infrastructure, industrial parks, and livelihood projects within the sub-center.
Writing “Five Major Articles,” precisely nurturing the new city fabric
If “taking root” is the beginning, then deepening the “Five Major Articles” of finance is the practical path of the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank in supporting the sub-center’s construction. Facing the positioning of the Beijing sub-center as a “tech innovation highland” and “national green development demonstration zone,” the bank has built a differentiated financial service system based on these “Five Articles.”
In the field of technological finance, the bank established a Technology Finance Department, creating an evaluation system of “looking ahead” + “technology-driven,” incorporating intellectual property and R&D strength into credit assessments, providing full lifecycle, all-scenario financial services for innovative enterprises, ensuring that financial “living water” precisely irrigates the fertile ground of technological innovation.
By the end of 2025, the bank has served 2,563 tech companies, with a loan balance of about 40.6 billion yuan.
In green finance, as a builder of the national green development demonstration zone, the bank innovated the “Carbon Account + Credit Approval” model, launching products like “Carbon Reduction Loans,” linking corporate emission reduction actions directly to loan interest rates, guiding financial resources toward green industries. By the end of 2025, green loans reached 92.3 billion yuan, leveraging finance to promote a clear water and blue sky in the sub-center.
On the digital finance track, the bank has accelerated “Beijing’s new speed.” From the “Cloud Counter Digital Human” that improves single transaction processing efficiency by 40%, to the “7×24 hours” cross-border RMB currency bridge with instant settlement, and the first HarmonyOS ecological bank—digital technology has not only reshaped financial service boundaries but also allowed residents of the Beijing sub-center to enjoy “nearby, anytime” smart life.
The warmth of finance is not only reflected in grand industrial narratives but also flows into the details of people’s livelihood services. On January 13, at the Beijing Tongzhou District Branch, Mr. Zhang completed his mortgage and received his property rights certificate within minutes at the bank’s dedicated device. “In the past, after getting a mortgage, I had to go to the registration center separately. Now I can get the house deed directly at the bank—convenient and time-saving!”
Behind this seamless experience is the innovative achievement of the bank’s deepened cooperation with Tongzhou’s real estate registration center, breaking data barriers. Through system integration and equipment deployment, the bank extends its service reach to the “last mile” of livelihood, embodying the service philosophy of “more data runs, fewer trips for the people.”
In pension finance, the bank also shows care and dedication. It has served over 1.27 million pension customers, nearly 50% market share, including nearly 400,000 individual clients in the Beijing sub-center. Through brands like “Jinhui Post Station,” the bank has built platforms for the elderly to realize value and receive warmth, making wealth not only an asset appreciation but also a transmission of responsibility.
From the warm start of “Postal Love Public Welfare” on the Spring Equinox to deep co-construction integrated into urban development, the Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank proves with actions that the mutual pursuit of finance and city will generate powerful momentum for mutual growth and prosperity. When a bank takes root in every inch of this new city, turning funds into sunshine, services into rain, and innovation into DNA, it grows upward with the city, thriving endlessly.
