Micro News | Nanwei Medical Plans to Acquire Duraclip, Precisor and Optibite Product Lines from CONMED

On March 18, Nanwei Medical’s US subsidiary reached an agreement with CONMED Corporation (NYSE: CNMD) on an asset transaction, intending to acquire the Duraclip™, Precisor®, and Optibite® product lines sold by CONMED. The deal is still subject to usual closing conditions and remains uncertain.

Nanwei Medical has been deeply involved in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment for over 20 years, with operations spanning more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In 2015, it established a US subsidiary to build localized market and service capabilities. CONMED is a global medical technology company headquartered in the United States, with a long-standing business partnership with Nanwei Medical. After the completion of this transaction, Nanwei Medical’s GI products will reach more key customers and a broader direct sales market.

In 2025, based on its development plan, CONMED decided to divest its digestive business line. Nanwei Medical responded quickly, negotiating multiple rounds and reaching a consensus on the transaction framework, initiating subsequent work. If the deal proceeds smoothly, Nanwei Medical will continue and expand the product line, achieving rapid integration of “products + supply chain + channels,” further enhancing its coverage and service capabilities in the North American GI market.
