Recently, the Agricultural Bank of China’s Fangchenggang Branch successfully issued a 200,000 yuan “Huinong e-Loan” to Liu Huayi, a shrimp farmer in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi. This loan not only solved the farmer’s funding difficulties for purchasing shrimp fry and expanding the farm but also marked the official implementation of the branch’s innovative “On-site + Remote” farmer loan investigation model.

This is a microcosm of the bank’s deep cultivation of “AI + Finance.” In recent years, the bank has centered on artificial intelligence as the core driver, comprehensively promoting digital transformation to empower port industries, urban services, and rural revitalization.

Precision Drip Irrigation Empowers the Intelligent Upgrade of Port Industries

In response to the booming port industry in Fangchenggang, the Agricultural Bank of China’s Fangchenggang Branch focused on the financing pain points of tech-based enterprises and launched the “Technology e-Loan” product. This product provides efficient funding support for enterprise technology transformation and industrialization, acting as a “catalyst” for industry upgrading.

By the end of 2025, the bank has supported several key projects, including Guangxi Huasheng New Materials Co., Ltd.'s “Zhisheng Aluminum Oxide Large Model,” Guangxi Guangtou Beibu Gulf Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd.'s “Offshore Wind Power AI Smart Warning and Monitoring Model,” and Guangxi Jinchuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd.'s “Copper System Process and Digital Upgrade,” with a total loan issuance of 1.45 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, the bank has earnestly implemented the financing coordination mechanism for micro and small enterprises, providing credit support to tech-based enterprises and related industries with funding needs in production, operation, and technological transformation. By the end of 2025, the bank’s loan balance for tech enterprises exceeded 2.4 billion yuan, an increase of 754 million yuan from the previous year, with a growth rate 32.14 percentage points higher than that of all loans.

Border-Connected Empowerment to Activate New Cross-Border Financial Momentum

Fangchenggang City, as China’s only city connected to ASEAN via land, sea, and river routes, benefits from port logistics and border trade advantages. Leveraging this unique geographical position, the bank’s Fangchenggang Branch seized the opportunity of digital transformation to make multiple breakthroughs in cross-border finance.

The branch successfully promoted Guangxi’s first “Border Trade Loan” business. By the end of 2025, it had issued 19 small and micro enterprise “Border Trade Loans” totaling 80 million yuan, effectively alleviating financing difficulties for border trade companies and providing strong financial support for steady growth in border trade.

In digital services, the bank actively utilizes the “HuiXiaoEr” cross-border financial service AI agent jointly developed with Guangxi’s foreign-related financial system. Customers can ask questions via voice at any time and anywhere to obtain information on foreign exchange policies, regulations, and business procedures, greatly improving service efficiency. Additionally, the bank extensively applies AI tools in big data analysis, process automation, customer profiling, intelligent recognition of cross-border documents, compliance, and risk management, empowering technological enhancement of cross-border financial services and promoting their digital and intelligent development.

Digital Rural Finance Connects the “Last Mile” of Rural Financial Services

In the journey of rural revitalization, the Agricultural Bank of China’s Fangchenggang Branch actively explores new “AI + Agriculture and Rural Areas” models, continuously expanding digital rural services. Currently, it has built 60 Huinong Cloud platform scenarios, attracting 37 clients to settle in, covering all four counties (cities, districts) in the city.

The continuous optimization of the “One Card Pass” service has resulted in the issuance of over 1.1849 million rural and民民 subsidies to three counties (cities, districts), totaling more than 756 million yuan. The “On-site + Remote” farmer loan investigation model extends financial services directly to villagers’ doorsteps. In the pre-loan investigation stage, a dual-operator mechanism of “on-site customer manager + remote supervisor” is adopted. Remote personnel supervise the process via video in real-time, enabling “one-to-many” intensive operations, saving labor costs, and strengthening third-party supervision, effectively improving investigation quality and risk control.

From empowering the intelligent upgrade of port industries, building a new digital banking ecosystem, to deepening financial services for rural revitalization, the Fangchenggang Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China is connecting cities and villages, industries and livelihoods through AI technology. In the future, the branch will continue to deepen the integration and innovation of AI and financial services, contributing more financial wisdom and strength to Fangchenggang’s high-quality economic and social development.
