Iraq's oil minister announced that Iraq is renovating its oil pipelines, with plans to directly transport crude oil to Turkey's Ceyhan port while bypassing the Kurdistan region. The inspection of the 100-kilometer pipeline is expected to be completed within a week.

Iraq’s Oil Minister announced in a video statement on Monday that Iraq is working to modify a pipeline to allow crude oil to be directly transported to the Port of Ceyhan in Turkey without passing through the Kurdistan Region.

The minister added that Iraq will complete inspections of the 100-kilometer (62-mile) pipeline within a week to enable direct export from Kirkuk.
