Iraq plans to upgrade oil pipelines to facilitate the direct export of Kirkuk crude oil to Turkey

Iraq’s Oil Minister announced in a video statement on Monday that Iraq is working to modify a pipeline to allow crude oil to be directly transported to the Port of Ceyhan in Turkey without passing through the Kurdistan Region.

The minister added that Iraq will complete inspections of the 100-kilometer (62-mile) pipeline within a week to enable direct export from Kirkuk.
