South Korea to Restrict Dual Listing of Parent and Subsidiary Companies

The Chairman of South Korea’s Financial Services Commission stated on Wednesday that South Korea will, in principle, restrict the so-called parent company-subsidiary dual listings by establishing specific standards and conducting strict reviews to prevent shareholders’ rights and interests from being harmed.

South Korea plans to publish a list of companies with low price-to-book ratio (PBR) to prevent companies from neglecting low stock prices.
