Dr Aoife Lynam is an Assistant Professor in Psychology of Education in Trinity College Dublin. Aoife was awarded the Trinity Gold Medal (2009) for her Undergraduate qualification and is a Trinity College Dublin (TCD) Faculty Scholarship awardee (2012-15). Aoife received a second scholarship for her Ph.D research and is a former Irish Research Council for the Humanities and the Social Sciences Scholar (2013-2015). Her Ph.D research explored the experiences of bereaved young people in Irish primary and post-primary schools. Aoife lectures in Psychology of Education, Research Methods, and Social, Personal, and Health Education (SPHE) and has supervised pre-service teachers on school placement and for their research dissertations at Masters and Doctoral level. Aoife has been involved with funded research projects with TCD, Stranmillis University, ESRI, Hibernia College, and DCU. Aoife is an Advisory Board Member of the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN), part of the Management Board for Trinity Research in Childhood Centre (TRiCC), and a Board Director on the Vision Ireland Services Board (formerly NCBI). Aoife has published and presented her research both nationally and internationally.
