Russia claims to have arrested two Ukrainian agents attempting to carry out terrorist attacks

On February 26th local time, the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia announced that two Ukrainian agents planning to carry out a terrorist attack against senior Russian military officials using improvised explosive devices were arrested in Saint Petersburg. The two confessed to expressing their intent to carry out sabotage activities in communications with Ukrainian intelligence agencies. It is reported that the two suspects first conducted reconnaissance on the target officer’s residence, retrieved the bombs from a hidden location, and placed them under the vehicle. Russian authorities have dismantled the explosive devices. (CCTV News)
