"Crayfish" Concept Surges! Jensen Huang: OpenClaw Will Be the Next ChatGPT!
Nvidia CEO’s statement ignited market enthusiasm for “Little Lobster.”
On Wednesday (March 18), Hong Kong stocks’ “Lobster” concept stocks, MiniMax, surged up to 23% intraday, Zhipu rose as much as 16%, and Chinese cloud service provider UCloud Technology also increased over 10%.
On Tuesday (March 17), Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang publicly stated at the GTC conference that “OpenClaw” is definitely the next ChatGPT, and characterized it as a fundamental revolution—significantly expanding the boundaries of what individuals can achieve with AI technology.
This statement quickly sparked market sentiment, with Chinese concept stocks related to the OpenClaw ecosystem collectively gaining strength. Steven Leung, Executive Director of Dahua ZhiXian Hong Kong, a subsidiary of OCBC Bank, said:
OpenClaw officially launched in November last year. It is an open-source, autonomous AI agent platform based on large language models. Unlike traditional chatbots, OpenClaw not only answers questions but can autonomously complete tasks, make decisions, and take actions with minimal human intervention, performing daily functions.
The tool has accumulated an almost fanatic user base in China, becoming another major catalyst after DeepSeek ignited the domestic AI boom over a year ago. Major Chinese cloud computing providers such as Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu have integrated OpenClaw into their service systems to support deployment for enterprise clients; companies like MiniMax and Zhipu provide computing power for the operation of these intelligent agents.
Notably, on March 18, MiniMax released its new generation flagship large model, M2.7, which first demonstrated a “model self-evolution” pathway. This model constructs an Agent Harness system, deeply involved in its own training and optimization processes, capable of handling 30%-50% of tasks in some R&D scenarios, and achieving approximately 30% performance improvement on internal evaluation sets.
Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud announced on its official website that due to the explosive global demand for AI and rising supply chain costs, Alibaba Cloud’s AI computing power, storage, and other products have increased prices by up to 34%.
Jensen Huang: Every company needs a “Lobster Strategy”
According to Wall Street Watch, Jensen Huang issued a clear call to global enterprises at the Nvidia GTC conference: “Today, every company in the world needs to develop an OpenClaw strategy, that is, an agent system strategy. This is the new type of computer.”
He highly praised OpenClaw, believing that the project “provides what the industry needs most at the right time,” and emphasized that “OpenClaw enables us to create personal agents, and its impact is incredible.”
The article points out that to clarify OpenClaw’s industry position, Jensen Huang compares it to foundational infrastructure in tech history—its significance for AI is akin to Windows for personal computers, with industry influence comparable to Linux operating systems, Kubernetes cloud projects, and HTML.
Huang emphasized, “It allows the entire industry to grasp this open-source stack and develop applications based on it to create value.”
