Zhuochuang Information: Pulp Market Shows Strong Wait-and-See Sentiment, Spot Market Center of Gravity Under Pressure and Weakening

Currently, during the critical period of pulp and paper negotiations, international pulp mills are concerned about rising costs and are considering price increases in overseas markets. However, domestic paperboard companies have limited profit improvement from processing, and their acceptance of high-priced raw materials is relatively low. Coupled with the decline in the main contract prices of pulp on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the trading momentum in the pulp market has noticeably slowed, and the spot prices have declined. Downstream demand is unlikely to see significant orders follow through. It is expected that the pulp price center of gravity will remain under pressure and weak, but there are positive factors on the supply side supporting stability. The downward space for pulp prices may narrow before the end of the month. (Zhuochuang Information)
