The 57th “Statistical Report on the Development of China’s Internet Network” was released today. The report shows that as of December 2025, the number of internet users in China reached 1.125 billion, with an internet penetration rate surpassing 80%, allowing digital development achievements to benefit a broader population. The report indicates that as of December 2025, the user base of generative artificial intelligence reached 602 million, a 141.7% increase compared to the end of 2024; the adoption rate reached 42.8%, a significant increase of 25.2 percentage points year-on-year. Generative artificial intelligence is accelerating its integration into daily life and production fields, becoming an important engine driving society’s digital and intelligent transformation.
