This move signifies that the SEC's cryptocurrency policy is shifting from enforcement-led to a greater focus on public engagement. Meanwhile, the SEC and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are working towards unified digital asset regulation. Atkinson and CFTC Chairman Mike Selig will jointly attend, indicating that Washington is moving towards coordinated regulation.
