Google Photos Me Meme - AI tool that turns selfies into fun memes

Abstract generation in progress

Google Photos has just introduced a beta feature called Me Meme on both Android and iOS platforms. This is a new creative tool powered by AI, allowing users in the United States to quickly transform selfies into funny and engaging memes.

How Me Meme works

According to PANews, the Me Meme tool allows users to choose from pre-designed meme templates or upload a reference image. Then, they can select a clear, well-lit portrait photo to serve as the surface for their meme. The AI will handle the rest, generating a unique meme based on the selected template.

Meme creation process and customization options

After Me Meme completes the initial meme, users have full control to customize the result. They can edit the meme, save it to their personal photo library, create a different version, or share it directly with friends and on social media. This flexibility makes Me Meme a versatile creative tool for those wanting to experiment with new content formats.

Deployment scope and availability

Currently, Google is rolling out Me Meme gradually to users in the United States. Although the company has not announced specific details about global expansion plans or future development, this feature is considered part of Google’s growing suite of AI creative tools within the Create tab of Google Photos. Me Meme marks Google’s commitment to integrating AI capabilities into its photo applications.
