Many people love to boast about how high the APY is when promoting a project. But truly impressive systems are not built on such claims.

What should the most outstanding design be? It’s—being able to operate normally even when no one is paying attention. It sounds simple, but this is the watershed that distinguishes projects from infrastructure.

Think about it, something that can withstand periods of boredom, cold treatment during bear markets, and market silence—that’s closer to true infrastructure. It’s not sustained by hype, not supported by community activity, but by its own logic that allows it to survive independently. Only such systems are worthy of long-term trust.

ngl, been there with the apy chasing... learned that lesson the hard way when everything collapsed. this actually hits different though - the stuff that just *works* without needing constant hype injections? that's the real infrastructure move

That's right, 99% of projects rely on APY to scam in newcomers; the real infrastructure should have been self-sustaining long ago. Emmm, who cares about you during a bear market? Surviving is the key. This is the difference: when a project dies, the hype disappears; when the infrastructure cools down, it still remains. I strongly agree, but unfortunately most people don't see this and are still chasing high returns. Basically, it's self-consistency vs. relying on hype for blood transfusion, the difference is huge. Humans always want quick money, nobody cares about infrastructure development. Yes, yes, yes, only things that can survive during boring periods are truly terrifying.

Only during a bear market can the true qualities be seen. Projects that hype up APY have long since died. Real infrastructure should be overlooked yet still able to operate.

Yeah, you're right. I'm already tired of the APY stuff. Truly foundational infrastructure is indeed the boring kind. That said, how many projects like this are there? Most are still living in the hype.

In plain terms, true infrastructure doesn't need you to chase the hype every day.

That's true, but the reality is that most projects die in a bear market. Where is there any real infrastructure?

Well said. Most projects are just show and no substance, hyping up APY to the sky, but when the bear market comes, their true colors are revealed. Real infrastructure has to survive on its own; it can keep running even without hype.
