What is the true core of Ethereum? Recently, there has been a voice reiterating an often overlooked priority order.

Rather than pursuing financial efficiency or application convenience, Ethereum's primary focus is actually resilience — in other words, being able to survive in any adverse environment. Pressure, infrastructure paralysis, geopolitical shocks — the system needs to withstand these impacts and not collapse entirely due to external risks.

What does this mean? Decentralization, permissionless, and censorship resistance are the iron gates that must be prioritized and protected. Only by safeguarding these fundamentals can there be the capacity to consider expanding block space, increasing throughput, and other such matters. Survive first, then think about how well to survive. If this order is reversed, the entire system is flawed.
