A new requirement has been implemented for money transfers exceeding 200,000 TRY in Turkey: explaining the purpose of each transfer is now mandatory. This rule aims to increase transparency in financial transactions and combat money laundering and terrorism financing.

This change is significant for users converting from cryptocurrency to fiat or conducting large transactions. When providing a transaction explanation, clear and accurate information must be given. Stating the purpose of the transaction, such as investment profit, commercial income, or debt repayment, is mandatory.

The compliance process has begun for industry participants. Those making large transactions should consider this new requirement in advance.
