Today, I locked in 1/2 to 1/3 of my position in the precious metals basket. The main allocations are in $PLTM, $PPLT, $GLD, $SLV, and $SILJ. At the same time, I closed some of my $SLV put option positions to realize some floating gains.

Many traders in the market have fallen into a trap — always waiting for that perfect A+ level gap breakout opportunity, but the reality is that such perfect timing often doesn't exist. Instead of passively waiting, it's better to execute according to the plan. There will still be plenty of volatility opportunities in precious metals this year; the key is to stay disciplined, buy on dips, and reduce positions on rallies. This round of locking positions follows that mindset.

This move is indeed refreshing, not following the crowd or waiting for that elusive perfect entry.

Waiting for that A+ opportunity, but all I got was A- when it finally arrived. This time, I'm just jumping in without hesitation.

Yes, that's right. Don't always think about that perfect entry; the market doesn't wait for anyone. Everyone is chasing that A+ gap, but as a result, they missed a big wave. I really mean it... Many times, discipline in execution is more important than timing. Locking in positions is wise. There is still potential in this wave of precious metals. The key is not to be greedy.
