Company Managing $4 Billion Shares Latest Forecasts on Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum
Source: CryptoNewsNet Original Title: Company Managing $4 Billion Shares Latest Forecasts on Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum Original Link: https://cryptonews.net/news/finance/32186029/ Rob Hadick, general partner at cryptocurrency-focused investment firm Dragonfly, appeared on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” program and offered important insights into the current state of cryptocurrencies, predictions for 2026, and emerging technologies.
Focus on Long-Term Trends
Hadick emphasized that the focus should be on long-term trends rather than short-term price movements. Responding to criticisms of Bitcoin’s performance this year, he advised a “broad perspective,” reminding listeners that Bitcoin has increased by 26% compared to the day before the 2024 elections and has doubled its value in the last two years. This rise rivals and even surpasses traditional indices like the Nasdaq.
Optimistic Outlook for 2026
Hadick expects 2026 to be a “strong and constructive” year for the crypto ecosystem, driven by improved monetary policies and increasing global adoption of asset tokenization. Citing McKinsey data, he noted that 3% of cross-border payments are already made with stablecoins, with predictions that this figure could increase tenfold in a short time.
Prediction Markets Show Explosive Growth
One of the most striking insights concerned prediction markets. Platforms like PolyMarket have grown in volume from $50 million per month at the beginning of 2024 to approximately $4 billion today. Hadick argued that these markets will extend beyond politics and sports into diverse applications such as insurance companies hedging weather risks, with potential as significant as traditional stock market giants.
Ethereum vs. Solana: Different Roles
Regarding the competition between Ethereum and Solana, Hadick believes both ecosystems will survive and serve different use cases. Ethereum functions as a hub for “locked economic value” (TVL) and DeFi, while Solana is optimized for low-cost, high-volume transactions.
Innovation Continues
Hadick also highlighted that technological innovation never stops, mentioning Monad, a new blockchain project in which Dragonfly is also an investor and which has been dubbed the “Solana killer.”
