Next-generation connectivity is coming—mobile devices will eventually establish direct connections with satellite networks, fundamentally transforming how we access broadband services. But here's the catch: this shift isn't just software-level optimization. Real hardware modifications are essential. The chipset architecture needs significant upgrades to support these new satellite frequencies. Current smartphone hardware simply isn't equipped to handle the technical requirements. This means manufacturers will need to redesign and integrate new frequency bands into device components. While the vision is clear—seamless satellite-to-phone connectivity delivering robust broadband coverage—the path forward requires substantial hardware engineering work. It's not a feature flip; it's a fundamental infrastructure evolution.

Another pitch for selling new phones? I believe in chip upgrades, but is this wave real or just to force a device change?

Here comes the nonsense about changing phones again; I’m tired of hearing this chip upgrade excuse. Phone manufacturers are really good at making things up; hardware upgrades are always the next reason. Satellite connectivity sounds bull, but in reality, it’s mostly just hype. Is this really about changing chips, or are they just creating momentum for a new product launch? I’m really annoyed by this "revolutionary change" marketing; in the end, they still sell at a higher price. Let’s wait and see; anyway, this phone can still last me two years, I'm not in a hurry to be played for suckers.
